What's Your Story?
Stories change us. They impact us. They make us look at the world a little differently. Professional writers aren’t the only ones whose stories are worth reading. You have a story, too. For this assignment, you will be writing that story. Write about yourself (or someone) as a dynamic character—a character who changes because of an event or situation.
To truly show this change, your narrative needs a beginning, middle, and end.

Enrichment: Radical Revisions
*Radical revision is a strategy for taking one's writing apart and reassembling it.
Radical Revision Possibilities
Change the point of view.
* Be a different person, sex, or animal.
*Pick a different narrator.
*Write the same story as many times as you have characters, catching only what they see.
Change the chronological order of events.
*1234 becomes 3241.
*Focus on the middle, beginning, or end only.
* Give the piece a new ending or beginning. (This works great when practicing with someone else's writing.)
Change the tone or voice of the narrator.*Make the timid, shy kid the bold, brash hero.
*Change the voice of the twenty-something heroine into the voice of the emotional child within.
Completely alter the genre.
Take your story and change it. You can turn your story into a different form such as a zine, graphic comic, memes, a Buzzfeed article, an infographic, short videos.
